About Me
Pedal Steel Guitar / Harmonica / Vox
Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can recall. As a small child, I remember my mother (a school teacher, but also an accomplished musician in her own right), playing the Rubber Soul album on loop, the lyrics to "Drive My Car" drifting through our home. My interest in creating my own music was peaked when I first picked up a bass guitar at the age of 15. I ended up playing bass for multiple bands, throughout college and even after graduating and moving to NYC. Eventually the band that I moved to the city with evolved into something new. We had outgrown our angsty, punk rock phase and were finding ourselves drawn to the music we had all grown up with; bluesy, southern rock and country. And now, suddenly there was a need for a new instrument in our bands, the Pedal Steel Guitar. So in 2011, though intimidated by it’s complexity I bought my first steel and was determined to learn this new instrument. After the initial hurdle, I completely fell in love with it and the community of players surrounding the instrument. Since then, I’ve been played on various different projects, sounds and recordings, from Brothers NYC and Marco with Love to Don Dilego and Fox & the Bandit. While mostly self taught, I've taken lessons with John McClung, and I'm continuously pushing myself to learn new things on the Pedal Steel and push my skill set to the next level. I love good music and a good challenge. Let’s work together.

When your heart's been broken, you need a song that's slow. There ain't nothin' like a steel guitar, to drown a memory. ” |
